Ministry Report from Central America

from Eli Beltran, Central America Pioneering Director

Great things are happening in Central America!

A Youth for Christ Campus Life Club ministry team from Peoria, Illinois (USA) recently sent a Project Serve team to Honduras.

After arriving in Copan, Honduras, the Project Serve team immediately began to work on the campgrounds. They spent the day painting and preparing a fire pit area for the camp. The team also worked with and ministered to the youth of the community by running a Vacation Bible School program.

Not long after, the Central American staff arrived  for their annual meeting. Youth for Christ staff, board and volunteers from throughout Central America focused on training, sharing of ideas, encouragement and spiritual refreshment for the rest of the Youth for Christ staff who work so hard throughout the year.  Everyone present enjoyed great meetings, which included fellowship, ministry reports, training and relationship building.

Hundreds of young people in Central America hear the Good News of Jesus Christ through the ministries represented by these staff. Between 50 and 60 staff from Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Belize and Puerto Rico shows fantastic growth – four years ago Youth for Christ was only in two countries in this area!

Please pray for three upcoming trips to Chile, Cuba and Puerto Rico.
