Ginny Niemeyer (Reczek)

Ginny has been serving with YFC since 1990 when she joined the YFC/USA staff as they had just relocated to Denver. She worked in World Outreach for 8 years as the Letter Production coordinator, sending out prayer letters for the overseas missionaries until she felt the pull on her heart to serve overseas. She relocated to Nairobi, Kenya in 1998 to work with Crisis Pregnancy Ministries of YFC and over the years has counseled hundreds of youth who found themselves in a crisis. She loves to hear from former clients who send her baby photos and keep her abreast of their progress in school as they grow up.

In 2015 she stepped down from full-time ministry to become Legacy staff with YFC. She immediately joined the national board of Youth for Christ Kenya where she now serves on several board committees. Another big change came in 2016 when she married another missionary, Dr. Larry Niemeyer, who had lived in Kenya for the previous 35 years. Between the two of them they have 4 grown, married children and 10 grandchildren. Ginny’s oldest grandchild is serving in New Zealand as a missionary with Youth with a Mission, following in her grandmother’s footsteps.

Ginny continues to counsel as needed and works with the national staff in a mentoring capacity. She also serves as Kenyan treasurer for her husband’s discipleship ministry. Kenya has become her second home, to the point she became a dual citizen of Kenya (alongside US) in 2018. Ginny and Larry plan to serve the Lord as long as He allows them to in Kenya.
