Zambia Ministry Efforts Yield Much Fruit

Mathias Bumie, National Ministry Coordinator

It is always exciting to give updates on ministry in Zambia as we see growth and lives changed. Daily morning prayer meetings and commitment by the small staff base yield much fruit. As a result, today there are students who come to pray at the office, play sports and keep out of risky behavior. Morning devotions have extended to secondary schools and discipleship bible study groups are growing.

Zambia launched Indepth Discipleship Course in May 2017 and this course has been a huge success. Several youth testify that as a result of Indepth, they have been drawn to develop a greater interest in the reading of their Bibles.

“It is impossible to answer their questions without using the bible,” Mwimba Simwinga, a Discipleship Student testifies. He continues, “Through the discipleship course, I have rededicated my life to Jesus and I am keen to be a volunteer to help other young people discover what I have found through this as a young man.”

God is certainly doing some amazing things in the Youth for Christ ministry in Zambia.

A staff person at Youth for Christ reports, “We are delighted to be a part of this ministry to witness God’s work in the lives of young people in this nation.”
