God is Doing Great Things in Our Community

Youth for Christ continues to be involved in afternoon programs in Oupad with Immanuel Ministries and in Hlalani with Iris Ministries. Volunteers, currently from Germany and the USA, serve at Team Khanya for between 3 to 9 months. As they are settling into all the new projects, they are enjoying the time to bond with kids from the different areas. What a wonderful opportunity to be involved in the great things God is doing in our community.
Our weekly sessions at the local children’s home have quickly become one of the favorites of all the projects that we are involved with. Volunteers love the opportunity to bond and spend time with the kids. Seeing how excited the kids are when the volunteer car pulls up is always a highlight.
Another favorite and highlight is going to meet up with the students from one of our local high schools. Seeing teenagers with a hunger and passion to know more about God, show up every week, really moves one’s heart. We thank God for this amazing opportunity and thank everyone involved in making this possible.
