From Eli Beltran, Pioneering Director for the America’s Area
I had the privilege to partner with a group from my church, Grace Presbyterian, in Peoria, IL. Fifteen of us left Peoria on July 8th for a trip to Santiago. We were met at the airport by the staff of Youth for Christ in Chile who hosted us for the week.
The team was a wonderful encouragement and a great help to the Youth for Christ program. And the staff and teens from Chile were a great encouragement to us. We worked side be side with Chileans, we prayed side by side, we worshiped side by side, and we saw God move in the hearts of young people, and, in our hearts as well.
Our time was filled with work projects, worship times, Jesus clubs for children and teens, and learning to travel throughout Santiago, Chile by bus, and subway. I was extremely proud of the team. They worked hard, built strong relationships, represented the Lord well, and did it all with great attitudes.
Pray with me that the young people touched by the team’s ministry, and who heard the clear presentation of the Gospel will continue to be drawn to Jesus. This ministry was one with eternal consequences.
