About Youth for Christ USA
Youth for Christ USA, over 75 years old, is a movement that builds relationships with young people to introduce them to Christ and uncover God’s story of hope in their lives. We activate volunteers, leaders, mentors, and staff as the hands and feet of our ministry efforts. Every role in our movement points back to building relationships that work to introduce young people to Christ. We are a bold ally of the local church and partner to like-minded organizations, working alongside them to reach kids and create Christ-centered, biblical communities. All of this is rooted in 3Story® – the idea that the work of the Gospel happens in the overlap of God’s story, our story, and our neighbor’s story. It’s the DNA of our ministry that we hold to as we pursue meaningful relationships with young people.
Camp is a strong element of Youth for Christ in the USA
Our latest Impact report registers that we have 23,000 staff and volunteers serving kids across the United States. Young people numbering 123,147 shared their name with a Youth for Christ leader, 75,896 of those are in conversation with our Youth for Christ leaders, and 43,308 young people are in an authentic Christ-sharing relationship with a leader. We give glory to the Lord that 9,079 young people came to Christ during 2019. This emboldens us to continue partnering with the local church and like-minded partners to move these young people into discipleship, envisioning them as future leaders in the Lord’s work!
On April 1st, 2021, the Youth for Christ USA Board of Trustees unanimously selected Jake Bland as Youth for Christ USA’s 10th president and CEO. Jake’s appointment arrives on the heels of Dan Wolgemuth’s announcement of his retirement as Youth for Christ president and CEO, after 16 years of dedicated service. Jake assumed the new leadership role as president and CEO on June 1, 2021. Jake has been involved with Youth for Christ for 23 years – first serving as a high school student in Youth for Christ, then as a volunteer, an intern, and was consistently promoted up through the ranks over two decades. We celebrate with Jake, Ali, and their children, Silas and Ivy, in this new chapter of Youth for Christ.
Youth for Christ USA has 160 chapters impacting thousands of communities. The preeminent goal at Youth for Christ USA is to engage one million lost 11-19-year-olds in the United States in authentic, Christ-sharing relationships with Youth for Christ leaders.
