Youth for Christ alumnus and widow of Phil Palermo, Edie Palermo, went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2011. She was 94. Her obituary and a guest book can be found by clicking here.
Edie’s husband Phil traveled to more than 55 countries on 38 trips overseas, many of them during their 37 years in Youth for Christ. Many times Edie traveled with her husband, but much of the time stayed home and cared for their family. Louie passed away on September 26, 2002.

Prior to her death, Edie lived with her daughter, Darlene, in Irvine,CA. Her other daughter, Phyllis, lives just a few minutes away, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren nearby. Edie loved making her Swedish coffee bread, reading her Bible, praying for a long list of folks, and talking on the phone.

Youth for Christ is thankful for the wonderful legacy of saints like Edie and Phil, who, among other things, once hosted mass spaghetti dinners for hundreds of people (once for 1000 people in Chicago).
