I Want My Life Back

unnamed(8)

“I do not know my exact age because my family members are illiterate, but I think am about 14 years old. I grew up with my father in a fishing community at the outskirt of Freetown. I was told by both my grandfather and father that my mother tried to kill me by pouring hot water on my stomach and ran away…

I grew up loving my father (a fisherman), dearly as the only source of my well-being. This was however cut short when my father suddenly became mad and ran into the streets. As a result of this condition, I became the subject of provocation and so I decided not to fight back but to make the streets my new home. I want my life back and I want to learn a skill in auto engineering.”
