A Passion and Calling for Prayer

Meet Adam and Melissa Shepski.

Jenny and I first met Adam and Melissa at a Youth for Christ Canada conference where I was one of the speakers. At the time Adam and Melissa were somewhat disillusioned and seriously questioning whether they had an ongoing role in Youth for Christ. It was one of those “God moments”, when He strategically places you in other people’s lives to convey His love and purpose.

Jenny and I were able to encourage and affirm Adam and Melissa. We shared how God had instructed the Youth for Christ leadership to “give the ministry back to young people, and allow them to lead.” We assured Adam and Melissa that there was a “place” for them in Youth for Christ, that we believed in them and wanted them to follow their dreams and visions and lead in the Youth for Christ movement. Adam and Melissa stayed in Youth for Christ, and shortly after this conference Adam started to develop a passion and calling for prayer.

Adam is now the Youth for Christ National Prayer Director in Canada. He is a phenomenal young leader and the prayer ministry he has developed has been a catalyst for unprecedented growth and blessing in the Youth for Christ ministry in Canada.
