Update from the Philippines

Campus Life conducts leadership training (left picture):
Expanding to more high schools, Campus Life holds regular values education classes and special youth-oriented events. It was an exciting Saturday for the student leaders of Irisan National High School as they participated in the Leadership Training conducted through the Campus Life Club. The event focused on team building activities and was a joint activity with the student government of the school. There was also an off-campus gathering at Camp John Hay. We hope to mobilize more student leaders through care groups and off-campus activities.

Gifts for detained youth :
Youth Forward distributed jackets and jogging pants to juvenile delinquents detained at the Baguio City Jail. The juveniles are regularly attending the values education classes and bible studies conducted by the Youth Life ministry.

SMARTweens reaches far-flung schools (right picture):
Youth Forward’s pre-teen ministry, also known as SMARTweens, is helping through values education classes and feeding programs for indigent pupils. This effort hopes to reach more pre-teens.

Creative Arts: dance crew / music band members wanted:
Since the re-organization of the creative arts ministry, a search for new band members is being conducted. Hazel Casem, who is leading the creative team, hopes to raise up new band members and dance crew whose talents will be honed for a good purpose.
