Youth for Christ in the UK has recently had a touring missions band come and join their existing street dance (Stance) and football (Nomad) missions teams.
The band is now called “The Sense” and is made up of volunteer young musicians who have given up a year of their life to travel all over the country (and sometimes elsewhere throughout Europe) to share the gospel with young people through music.
The band is led by Andy and Joy Clark, who are both musically gifted and experienced evangelists to young people. Each year around 40 young people aged 18-25 will join in various mission teams and in local centres. The majority come from Britain but some come from countries all over the world such as Germany, Holland, the USA, Brazil and Uganda.
The year-long mission opportunity not only disciples young people who are growing in their faith, but also teaches participants how to work in various mission contexts.
