Transition Announcement: Youth for Christ Americas and Juventud Para Cristo México

It is with much gratitude and excitement that we announce the restructuring of Youth for Christ Mexico/Juventud Para Cristo México to be led by Jose Carlos Gutiérrez Téllez. After faithfully serving in his role as Area Director of the Americas for over seven years, Jose will transition into the National Coordinator role of Youth for Christ Mexico by the end of 2020.

There, he will use his talents and skills to reach more and more young people with the Good News of Jesus, first locally, and then throughout the country of Mexico. This will leave the position of Area Director of the Americas vacant. We are praying and invite you to pray with us for the right person to be identified.

A job posting for that role will be posted in the coming weeks. We are thankful for Jose’s servant leadership, personality, and friendship over the past years and are excited to see what the Lord will do through him in Mexico in the coming years.

It has been a very blessed time serving our nations the last seven years in the Americas,” stated Jose Carlos recently. He went on to say, “Our Lord now is calling me to invest more time in my city (Juarez, México) while I follow and obey God’s instructions for my nation. I just want to say how privileged and honored I feel to have served with the Americas Area Leadership team, the best team I could ever imagine. I also celebrate how the ministry in the Americas has grown. The love I have seen from our national leaders and staff will always inspire me; I will remember this season of my life. Please pray for me, as I will be praying for all of you. Pray for Youth for Christ Mexico and the work we are planning to do in the following years. May the Lord bless the Americas, the world, and our Youth for Christ ministry forever.

May the Lord bless Jose Carlos, his wife Sara and their children in this next adventure in following God’s call on their lives.

In Christ,

Dave Brereton
