In 2002 when Tomu was in his last year of high school he was invited by a cousin to attend Youth for Christ’s annual Safari camp in Fiji. It was at this camp that he recommitted his life to the Lord and two weeks later began volunteering for Youth for Christ; two years later he was full-time staff.

Before being appointed as National Director in early 2013, Tomu served as a team leader for one of the Youth for Christ centres in the west of Fiji, co-coordinating Youth for Christ’s large events – particularly Primary and High School camps.

Tomu is the eldest of five brothers and sisters.

He asks for prayer in his new role as National Director and for God to raise up people who have the heart of a servant to join the efforts to establish Youth for Christ ministry in other parts of Fiji.
