Ryan Scramstad

Ryan joined Youth for Christ Canada’s Youth Unlimited program in September of 2019 as the Artistic Director of Jesters Theatre in Mission, BC, Canada. He has a passion to see youth realize their self-worth through a relationship with Jesus, and for using theatre as a powerful tool through which to communicate God’s love. He has a background in professional acting, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts from Capilano University.

It wasn’t an easy journey getting Ryan to the point where he joined Youth for Christ. Becoming a missionary was the last thing he thought he would be doing until his church led a missions trip to Thailand in 2017, which then led Ryan to apply for a 6 month performing arts focused missions trip in 2018. Through these experiences God moved Ryan’s heart and confirmed that this is the calling God had planned from the beginning.
