Micah sensed a calling to full-time ministry at an early age but would not see those callings fulfilled until many years later. 22 years later to be exact. Within that time period, the couple married, had four beautiful children, and Micah pursued seminary training with the intention of pastoring a church. But God had other plans. In 2014, the Fowlers accepted the invitation to join YFC and through a series of circumstances that only God could order, made the way for them to become missionaries to Latin America. In 2016, the Fowler family moved to San Jose, Costa Rica to learn Spanish and were invited to stay on and serve the people of Costa Rica as YFCI missionaries.
In January of 2018, the Fowlers moved to Liberia, Costa Rica in the province of Guanacaste with the desire to see teens become lifelong disciples and disciple-makers of Christ. There have been many challenges and transitions since then, including two of their children moving back to the U.S. to begin their adult lives and changes in national leadership. Micah and BreAnna along with their two younger children, Danielle and Tobias, continue to plan while trusting that God is directing their steps. May He alone be glorified in the work of YFCI Costa Rica and around the world.
