Jon and Sonnet Barr

Jon and Sonnet Barr have been partners in ministry since their marriage in 1997.  They join the Youth for Christ family with over 25 years of cross-cultural experience. The Barrs worked together at United World Mission in their home office (where they met), worked side by side as missionaries in Moscow Russia for 20 years, and then worked at Youth Ministry International where Sonnet was Director of Ministry Advancement and Jon was the Executive Director for International Training Development.

Jon and Sonnet are leading an academics team to help the nations develop bachelor’s and master’s degree programs for Youth Ministry in indigenous seminaries and Bible Colleges around the world.  Using the avenue of formal education, they will help facilitate Youth for Christ International’s goal to see a worldwide Christian movement working with young people around the globe.
