Jim Snellink
Jim’s history with YFC started on Long Island in 1972. He eventually made a move to Indianapolis where he served with Campus Life for two different time periods (’76-‘85 and ‘90-‘08). From August of ’85 to March of ’90, he served as the Associate Pastor of Youth and Music with Woodhaven Reformed Church of Byron Center, Michigan. January of 2008, he returned to his home area of Michigan (Belmont) where he now serves as a Youth For Christ Missionary Recruiter for the Youth for Christ International Global Engagement department in Englewood, Colorado.
As a Missionary Recruitment Rep, Jim says it is his privilege and pleasure to visit Christian college campuses of the Great Lakes Region (Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan) presenting the ministry of YFC World Outreach to students who are contemplating a career with missions. Jim spends anywhere from one day to several days on a campus being involved in mission fairs, not-for-profit job fairs, speaking in dorms, or simply setting up my display in the campus dinning commons to have one-on-one time with students who visit the Youth for Christ table.
Jim says, “What a joy it is to be able to share our story with these young, energetic, future laborers for the fields that are ripe for harvest. In this season of my life I feel very blessed to be in a position to help raise up new staff to do what I have been privileged to do for over 35 years: presenting the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to hurting and lost young people around the world. THANK YOU, LORD!“
