Jake and Debbi Tyler

Member Care is the ongoing preparation, equipping, and empowering of missionaries for effective and sustainable life, ministry, and work.

Jake and Debbi Tyler currently serve as Member Care Providers and overseers for the National Directors of the Asia Pacific Area of Youth for Christ. Member Care is a relatively new department for Youth for Christ.

When travel opportunities resume, it is hoped that Jake and Debbi can spend a couple of weeks in Central Asia with National Directors from that Region to work on the new assignment.

The Tylers are also hoping to return to Australia to continue building the relationships developed on previous visits.

“Direct ministry” with youth opportunities include serving on the prayer team for Heatwave, an event in late June in Wildwood, NJ, for Youth for Christ USA chapters. The Tylers also participated in Schoolies for Jesus, an outreach to recent high school graduates vacationing on the beach on Philip Island in Australia.

Jake and Debbi met in Lamb’s Players, a street theater evangelism ministry that was based in San Diego. They married January 1, 1979, and have 6 children, and 8 (almost 9!) grandchildren. They currently live in Oswego, NY, in sight of Lake Ontario.

The Tylers have been with Youth for Christ in various capacities for nearly 40 years.
