Hunter Brown

Hunter grew up in southern Minnesota in a Christian home and is an active volunteer in his church. He attended Southwest Christian High School where he had his first opportunity to serve in international missions. He was able to go to the Dominican Republic in 2018 with his senior class and it was there that he felt the call to serve the Lord as a missionary.

After graduating high school, Hunter spent a year attending a missionary training program in Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Indonesia. Upon returning home he studied intercultural studies at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul. As a part of this, he was able to also serve on an internship in a Ugandan village where he spent his time with South Sudanese and Acholi children. Hunter has felt a call to the nation of Japan. He is eager to see the new doors Jesus will open in the lives of Japanese youth. In his time leading up to serving internationally with Youth for Christ he is working as the missions and outreach coordinator at his church.
