On 5 February 2017, Youth for Christ in Rwanda was honored to receive a friend from Chicago, Mr. Tom Mellon, who conducted training for their leaders focusing on quality assurance and monitoring and evaluation.
Tom also met young entrepreneurs in Gisenyi from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Youth for Christ volunteers from Rwanda. The focus was on starting and running businesses from a Christian perspective. With all this training, it was so clear that participants were equipped with knowledge, skills and abilities on how best to thrive in this dynamic era.
National Director Jean Baptiste Mugarura says, “Youth for Christ Rwanda is pleased with the commitment of our volunteers who work day and night to reach the lost youth in cities like Rwamagana, Gisenyi and Kigali. Our volunteers engage in constant training through workshops to equip us for ministry and we are grateful to them.”
