School of Leadership Training Young Ukrainians

Ukraine is taking seriously the charge to not only reach young people with the good news, but also to equip young leaders to do the same.

Their School of Leadership continues to train youth leaders in a program called “Million Leaders.”  On March 4th and 5th, 2011, 36 ministers from various churches throughout Ukraine came to Irpin to learn several important principles of effective Christian leadership.

At this session, Youth for Christ speakers Andrey Kostyshyn, Andrey Talko and Alexander Dubinin focused on such topics as:

  • Discovering God’s call for your life
  • How leaders pray
  • How to identify and use your spiritual gifts
  • How to raise a leader
  • Styles of leadership
  • How leaders can cope with difficulties in the ministry

From the feedback, it was evident that this session gave a lot of new knowledge to the participants, especially about the styles of leadership, the disclosure of their spiritual gifts and about growing up leaders.

Anastasia writes “I learned what my spiritual gifts are, I have got a better understanding of myself, and now I want to pass this material to my team.”

Suzanne shares that she got new look at leadership: “I learned that I can be a leader! Well, I had strong doubts concerning my abilities and talents, but I changed my mind and now I believe all things are possible in God!

Also, as at previous sessions, there was a video seminar focused on leadership and teamwork principles. The participants really enjoyed this unusual training. After the movie, there was a lively discussion and everyone helped to create a long list of fine conclusions and ideas on the subject.

The Youth for Christ team in Ukraine, which organized the Leadership School, thanks all participants and helpers, without whom this session would have been very difficult.

Youth for Christ in Ukraine also wishes to give thanks and praise to the Lord, who blessed the School of Leadership again.

Thank you, as always for your financial support and prayer for the ministry of Youth for Christ which make events like these possible.  Prayers are also appreciated for future sessions of the School of Leadership, as this was the fourth of several sessions.
