The center will be able to receive 400 individuals every week (around 100 families). Each family will be able to participate twice per week to spend a day, attend programs and have a hot meal.

The war in Lebanon has been ongoing for a whole year. The violence has claimed 2083 lives, left 9869 injured (as of October 7), and forced at least one million people to flee their homes from the suburbs of Beirut, the South and the Beqaa Valley. At least 40% of the country was bombed, and many go to bed uncertain there will be a tomorrow. They wait restlessly for what comes next.
Over the years, Youth for Christ Lebanon has witnessed God’s faithfulness in responding to the needs arising from crises. While our primary mission is not disaster relief, we are humbled by the opportunity to support the youth and families affected by this current crisis.
Donate NowSo many have already fled for their lives to Beirut where many public schools are filled with families who have brought with them only what their hands can carry. They have left their peace under the rubble of their homes. Youth for Christ, through its centers, wants to receive these families to bless them with their immediate needs that might vary from daily meals, necessary hygiene, clean clothes, a decent place to sit and share their feelings, to be heard, to be loved and cared for. As well as to reach them in public schools where they are being sheltered.
Your support is crucial. We invite you to contribute to this emergency fund and join us in making a difference in the lives of those affected.
Our plan is to provide the following:
- Present daily meals to the families in a clean and respectful environment. This will help them to get away from their uncomfortable temporary shelters to lighten their moods and eat a warm meal with other families.
- Provide vouchers or boxes for basic hygiene kits to use at their shelters that will provide protection from communal spread of bacteria and viruses. As well as we might be providing food vouchers as the need arises.
- Provide entertaining fun programs and games for kids and youth, to lift their spirits and help get their minds off the war.
- Provide laundry service for the families, for added comfort and hygiene.
- Offer group mental health sessions and interventions for families, along with optional art therapy sessions.
- Extend a helping hand through one-on-one sessions for critical cases.
- Show the love of Christ in a practical way.
