Launch of Open Up, Prayer Course for Teens

At Youth for Christ’s Global Leadership Team meeting in Istanbul, Open Up was presented and offered to Youth for Christ International Director Dave Brereton.
WakeUp Deborah’s programme has 2 pillars: teaching teenagers to pray, in relationship with an adult praying for them. Teens learn to pray using the Prayer Hand method that represents 5 aspects of prayer:
- Praise
- Forgiveness
- Thanksgiving
- Praying for others and
- Praying for yourself.
These areas of prayer are elaborated in 10 Bible stories. Teens will make their own Prayer Hand poster and receive a Prayer Diary at the end of the course. Praying parents are kept informed in different ways.
