This coming summer, Steven will run all 40 miles of the Cherry Creek Trail with the goal of raising $40,000 for Youth for Christ.

You can help!

Donate today toward the goal of $40,000. It’s a big goal; it’s going to take a whole lot of people contributing in order to achieve the goal.

Start training to run the 40 miles with Steven. Or if 40 miles is too much, choose a good chunk and train for that – push yourself a little farther than you think you can go!

Run…a drink and food stop along the 40-mile route (or two or three stops). This will be crucial. It’s only with people along the route that this 40-mile run can be successful.

Answers to Your Questions

Why 40 miles?

Two reasons. The 40-mile Cherry Creek Trail runs right through my town, and 40 miles is a challenging distance that will require a lot of work and effort.

Why $40,000?

Since the full Cherry Creek Trail is 40 miles, setting a goal of $1,000 per mile is a challenging goal that will require a lot of work and effort – so it’s a good match for the run as a whole!

Is Steven receiving a $40,000 salary increase?

Haha, no, I am not receiving a $40,000 salary increase! My salary is not based on how much money I raise, rather, the amount of money I need to raise is determined by my salary [and other costs]. Some of the money raised through this run will go towards regular salary increases, some will go towards other costs, some will go towards having a healthy balance in my ministry account to cover for times when donations are lower than expected.

Is Steven’s account $40,000 in the negative?

Thankfully, no! My ministry account is not in the negative. And the funds raised from this run will help keep my ministry account healthy and ready for the future.
