France Internship Invests in Young Teens

francestoryFrance has discovered that young missionaries (14-17 years old) are looking for an organisation to take them seriously.

In collaboration with Romania, Youth for Christ in France created what they’re calling Internship Junior.

Many teenagers receive Jesus Christ in their life, are on fire for Him, but usually need to wait until they are 18 years old to have some opportunities to serve. So the Internship Junior program was made just for them. Summer 2015 was the first test of the program. All involved have agreed that it was a great success.

Eleven teenagers, from France and Switzerland, participated. The 3 week mission trip in France (participating to an outreach “Bouge ta Ville”), and in Romania (participating in a day camp outreach) gave the young participants a broad exposure to missions. The teens learnt to write newsletters, raised funds for their mission trip, served the city of Lille, prayed for France under the Eiffel tower, led 4 Sunday School programs in Romania, travelled 5 days with 2 old vans, visited Budapest, studied deeply the word of God, laughed much, thought and prayed about their local involvement in the church, visited and helped poor families in Romania … and much more.

Not only have the young people grown tremendously in their walk with God during their time with Internship Junior, but they have been a real blessing on the mission field.

Youth for Christ believes in teens, and finds over and over again that investments like this are well worth the time and expense.
