Cycling for Romania

maracycAt the end of next week, along with a couple of thousand other people, John Duncan (former Youth for Christ EMENA Area Director)  plans to be riding in the 30th anniversary Belfast-Dublin-Belfast Maracycle – a ride of 220 miles/355 kms over two days.

The main reason for doing it is just the challenge of getting fit and trying to ride that distance” says John. “However, since I am committed to doing it, God willing, I thought I might as well try and raise a spot of money for a good cause.”

As it happens, Youth for Christ in Romania is running a camp for Roma children next week, so the cause is to sponsor some of them to go. Youth for Christ has two part-time Romanian staff in a number of villages over on the eastern side of the country, and they have been doing a great work.
