From Freddy Tuyizere, National Director of Burundi Youth for Christ
After much prayer and support, Builders Without Borders are finally here commencing the construction of Gitega International Academy. In phase 1, the team of 21 will put up 5 buildings: 2 boarding blocks, 2 classroom blocks and a multi-purpose hall for the secondary school. The site has been a beehive of activity for the last 2 weeks with more than 300 Burundians joining them.
Below is an interview about the proposed secondary school in Gitega.
Also expected are many more hands from a Youth for Christ team from Edmonton, Canada.
The children at Homes of Hope are enjoying a bible club facilitated by the Youth for Christ Edmonton team and Youth for Christ young leaders from Burundi. Bible stories, games and crafts are the highlights.
