Korey Finch

Background

Korey grew up in a Christian home in North Texas. He went to a small Christian school and was constantly challenged and encouraged by those around him to give his life to the Lord and serve Him completely. At the age of 16 he surrendered to preach the Gospel however God would have him to.

In 2007, Miriam (who grew up in Manchester, England) invited Korey to come to the UK and help serve at a Christian youth camp. It was through this experience that Korey felt God calling him to reach the youth of Great Britain. After 18 months of long-distance dating, Korey and Miriam were married on December 27, 2008.

Preparing for an eventual life of youth ministry in the UK, Korey served as the Youth Pastor at his home church, Meadow Creek Baptist Church, for five fruitful years.

North Wales
In August 2013, Meadow Creek Baptist Church sent Korey and his family to North Wales as missionaries to the youth of Great Britain. For four years they served on the leadership team of a local church with a focus on youth ministry.

In October 2017, Korey started a new chapter of ministry by partnering with Llandudno Youth For Christ with the desire to reach North Wales for Christ. Furthemore, Korey went on to become the Deacon of Youth Ministry at Prince’s Drive Baptist Church. This partnership thrived and as of November 2021, Korey became the Assistant Minister at PDBC with a focus on Youth and Families.

Korey’s involvement with Llandudno Youth for Christ also prospered and in Novemember 2021 they saw the formation of a new charity: Colwyn Youth for Christ, with Korey taking on the role as Centre Director. Both Korey and Miriam are currently working hard to learn Cymraeg (Welsh) as about 1/3 of the people in the area are Welsh Speakers. They live and serve the Lord in Colwyn Bay, North Wales with the desire to see the youth of the Colwyn Area come to know the Love and Salvation of Jesus Christ.
