Hilary Lewis-Nicol

Hilary Lewis-Nicol served as a volunteer during the early 1980’s after giving his life to Christ. In 1989, he became a full-time staff of Youth for Christ Sierra Leone. He was the Music Director of the Youth for Christ West Africa Music Team from 1991-1993. He was the Training Director for 1993-1995 and from 1996 – 2009 he served as the National Director of Youth for Christ Sierra Leone. During his tenure, Hilary directed Youth for Christ Sierra Leone through the civil war and economic collapse. In 2007, he became the Regional Director for Anglophone West Africa, supervising seven (7) countries– Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Guinea Bissau and Guinea.

Hilary is currently the Youth for Christ Africa Area Director. The Africa Area office is headquartered in Accra, Ghana. He assumed this role in October 2010. In this role he works with the Africa Leadership Team to supervise the work in the Sub-Saharan Youth for Christ nations. He is also a member of the World Leadership Team.

Hilary is married to Melrose and they have four lovely children, Taiwo (adopted), Leon, Melry and Hilrose.
