“Space” is a termly evangelistic event in Liverpool that I helped to get started many years ago and have been closely involved with since. I am still a great believer that large scale events create memories and moments for young people to respond.
Over 8 years in different formats this event has attracted between 250 – 1100 young people each event in Liverpool and allowed them to encounter Jesus in a way that is relevant and accessible.
A week last Friday as I stood again witnessing many young people making a decision to follow Jesus I reflected on the thousands of lives that had been changed by Jesus through this one event. As I make the decision to step back from hands on involvement, I am as encouraged as ever, that this event is still gathering and challenging young people to be followers of Jesus.
