Sierra Leone Celebrates 50 Years of Independence

From Abu S Conteh, National Director of Sierra Leone Youth for Christ
The 27th of April marked Sierra Leone’s fifty years of independence, a moment of celebration and reflection. As a ministry, we joined hands with the nation to organize a citizenship and servant leadership program for our students and leaders in junior high, secondary and vocational schools. The responses were just amazing. Now we are trusting God to allow us to conduct more of these seminars. Similar activities took place in Bo, southern Sierra Leone, where leaders from various high schools are now being mentored and taught servant leadership dynamics.

Praising God:

  • For the 8 juvenile boys and one officer at the Approved School that surrendered their lives to Christ. Join us as we pray for their growth and maturity in the Lord.
  • For the go ahead from the government to revamp the court visitation for the young offenders we are working with at Remand Home and Approved school.
  • As one of our trainees in the G21 vocational training school has now accepted Christ as her Lord and savior.
  • Pray with us for the upcoming crusade and seminar on pioneering and spiritual warfare on the 19th-21st at Tombo village.
