Road to Leadership Mentoring Program Gathers Momentum

From Abu Stephen Conteh, National Director
abuAt the start of 2014, a prayer walk was held in all ministry operations nationwide across Sierra Leone with a view of handing over to God the ministry but also to demolish strongholds in these areas. We are thankful to God for being able to organise a school prefects/leaders leadership seminar that looked at issues of integrity, character, courage and vision as they relate to servant leadership in relation to their respective roles in their schools. This seminar attracted 150 students from over ten secondary schools in Freetown. Please pray for these students to be the answer to the Sierra Leonean leadership need in the coming years.

Also as the ‘Road to Leadership Mentoring’ program gathers momentum, I was able to meet with a cross section of the young people being mentored by key role models in the society to hear their success stories. We praise God for the many testimonies of leadership transformation!

We are thankful to God to be able to resume discipleship training with some of the young people that were unable to complete the process last year and some new ones. We continue to celebrate Jesus for the lives of Amara Kemba and Alusine Kamara, two former Rastafarians, who are now dedicated to the Lord after going through their discipleship training and are now attending local churches.

Praise God for open doors in 16 more schools in the Western area to do ministry. We already have testimonies as to the goodness of God in the lives of the young people with some making definite commitments to respecting their parents and being obedient to authorities.

Praise God for a successful Operation Hannah retreat that brought the 14 Hannahs from each of the local centres, to plan and pray for the needs of the young people of Sierra Leone.

We covet your prayers for the pioneering work in Kono and Magburaka. Pray with us for greater harvest and for committed volunteers in the field.
