The old record shop next to Argos has been confirmed as the location for
Run the Race café in Coalville. With the generous allocation of outdoor space this venue will be a community hub throughout the Olympic Games.
In the heart of the town centre there will be fun, games, chat and lots and lots of cake. Big screens in the café will be streaming live BBC coverage. The Olympic buzz will flow out into the Coalville Precinct with a fortnight’s program of sporting opportunities and displays.
Heartland Youth for Christ (Britain) invites you to join in prayer over the Olympics and their ministry during the Olympics:
June 10 – 16
Pray for the welcoming of athletes and their families when they begin to arrive in the UK for the Games, that they will find a hospitable Britain. Isaiah 60:4
June 17 -23
Pray for a release of all the resources needed for Run the Race. As final plans are made, pray for God’s will to be done and all financial, physical and spiritual needs are met.
June 24 – 30
Pray for those who have already volunteered or are considering helping out with Run the Race. Pray for courage to share the gospel in our everyday lives. 2 Corinthians 4:1-7
July 1 – 7
Pray blessing over the Torch Relay in Leicestershire.
2nd July: Open air prayer in Loughborough
July 8 – 14
Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up you ancient doors, that the King of Glory may come in. (Psalm 24:9)
Pray for the town of Coalville and the surrounding area, that barriers to the presence of God will be broken.
