Impromptu Gospel Presentation Sees New Converts at Cliff Festival

by Dave Newton

The last time I was on the lawn at Cliff College, I was collecting my MA certificate, so it was great to go back last weekend and give something back.

Every year Cliff College holds the Cliff Festival, and this year all of the YFC National Teams and I had the opportunity to be part of it. With over 2000 people attending over the Bank Holiday weekend our main focus was on the youth venue called Pulse.

After the YFC theatre, media and sports teams worked running activities, seminars, performances and workshops, I had the opportunity to speak on the Sunday evening to over 200 teens from across the country. It wasn’t intended to be an evangelistic message but as I spoke I was prompted to give an  appeal for those listening to become Christians for the first time. I was amazed as 40 young people stood to their feet and prayed a prayer of commitment.

As I was feeling tired I realised that God hadn’t finished and 80 more stood to their feet when invited to get back on track with God and start living out their faith.

The weekend was an amazing success and it was great to be able to play a small part. Keep praying as the young people return home and go back to school this week.
