Suffering is not a popular experience or topic. But ”someone’s suffering is my opportunity to help.” And it was a common denominator that Youth for Christ in Croatia has been addressing recently through, among other things, a recent mission trip to Bosnia.
The trip to Bosnia, in the Tuzla and Srebrenica area, included six days of ministry. Participants served the young local church, met local people and joined their ministries.
Locals considered the young missionaries friends before it was over. The visit was especially important as the Christians to whom they ministered live in a Muslim context with no evangelical church within 75 miles. This church is a refuge and a safe spot for people who have hard lives, especially the youth.
When the military closed Khartoum’s airport and disrupted their discipleship training, a generational odd couple from YFC Lebanon improvised and preached to hundreds of students. (story and photos by Christianity Today)
