In the early hours of January 7th, Puerto Rico was shaken by a 6.4 earthquake that struck the south side of the island. The damage from this earthquake is said to be worse than Hurricane Maria that made landfall in 2017.

More than 300 people have been left homeless as a result of the earthquake & most of the island is still without power. Along with the physical damage, the earthquake and aftershocks have taken a serious toll on the island emotionally & mentally.

Youth For Christ Puerto Rico plans to respond in relief efforts for both physical and emotional needs. We believe that the Lord will continue to use these disasters as an open door to minister to those who are hurting & in need of hope.

Along with our Board of Directors & volunteers, we will be hosting short term teams throughout 2020 to work together with local churches & other organizations to respond to the needs.

We ask that you would partner with us in this effort while we serve the people of the island as the hands and feet of Christ in a time of great heartache.
