140 New Believers in Freeport

From Abu S. Conteh, National Director

Youth for Christ in Sierra Leone is celebrating progress in several ministry areas this month.

  • EVANGELISM: Large strides are being made in reaching out to communities in the peninsula of Freetown. Pray that the hunger in the people of these communities for the word of God will be satisfied. Pray for the 140 that surrendered their lives to Christ and for the discipleship process that will commence in April.
  • PARTNERSHIPS: Youth for Christ in Sierra Leone is benefiting greatly from a partnership with Leaders of Godly Character International. Their support has been great in helping us conduct leadership training in Sierra Leone and Liberia. Pray for the success of the forthcoming leadership conference on Developing Leaders of Godly Character for 200 young people in Bo during the month of April.
  • SPORT: We thank God for the pace this ministry is gathering as young people from Freetown to Port Loko are being reached through this ministry on a weekly basis. Counselling sessions on career choice and other challenges of life constitute this approach. We are trusting God for sports kits for the young people across the country.
  • PRAYER MOVEMENT: Thank God for the commencement of the radio discussion program as we hope to use this medium to reach out to many people. Please continue to pray for its sustenance. Pray with us as also as we are taking a nationwide “Operation Hannah” [prayer ministry] training package to Bo, Blama, Kenema, Kono, Makeni and Port Loko.
  • G-21 VOCATIONAL TRAINING SCHOOL: Thank God for the counselling sessions going on and for the salvation of most of the young girls in the institution. Continue to pray for their growth in the Lord.
