Lebanon Appoints New Director

One of the things John Sagherian has been working on since he stood down as National Director of YFC Lebanon a year ago was helping the National Board to find his successor and just this week he was delighted to announce publicly that Maher El Hajj has been appointed, and will start, God willing, on 1 January 2012.

Here’s a brief biography of Maher in his own words:

My name is Maher El Hajj. I was born in Riyadh on September 16, 1978 and was raised in Saudi Arabia for the next ten years, then moved back with my family to Lebanon.

I became a follower of Jesus through a Lebanon YFC program on Jan 6th, 1995.

The ministry of LYFC had a big impact on my life. I was followed up, discipled, mentored and trained to be a youth worker. I joined LYFC as a volunteer in 2000. I became full time staff for 5 years starting 2003. Later on I moved to become the Associate Director of a local Humanitarian faith-based NGO “Heart for Lebanon”.

I have a degree in Business Administration, am married to Rachel and have a 6 month old baby named Timothy.
