On March 17 and 18, 28 leaders met together near Moscow, Russia, for Coaching Training. Many Youth for Christ nations were represented, including: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Moldova, Spain and the United Kingdom. The training was led by Youth for Christ International’s Coaching Coordinator, Chris Harding, with help from Allan Grier. There was a great spirit at the training, and participants quickly picked up the principles and the benefits of coaching, many even listening to live translators to be able to fully absorb the teaching. Coaching uses powerful questions to help someone find ways to move from where they are to where they want to be. A lot of time was spent in practical sessions in small groups, working on real life problems as examples. The target is to develop a pool of Russian-speaking coach mentors who can develop coaching in this Region.
