Youth With a Mission (YWAM) has partnered with Youth for Christ in Burundi by serving Homes of Hope and Future Hope School as well as the local community at Masenga and churches near the Gitega center.
The YWAM Rwanda 2011 team has been in Burundi for six weeks for their Discipleship Training School.
We are grateful for the time spent teaching our children drama (which they enjoyed very much).
Many people in Gitega have confidence in the Future Hope School. With this new school year, there have been more requests than available places. But we continue to praise the Lord again, as a new classroom for the first level of kindergarten is complete. This is the beginning of expanding the school, adding a second class for every grade.
PRAY WITH US
- North Point Church, Texas will be here in November; they will be involved in constructing a widow’s house, pastor’s training and women’s meetings.
- Builders without Borders will complete phase 1 of the Gitega International Academy. We seek more funds to put in the plumbing and fence around the school. We also pray for electricity on the site.
- Opening of Youth for Christ Training Centre (Buja) on November 12th and the Japanese Ambassador will be with us. We thank the Lord that the building is complete and continue to pray as we put things in place to commence training in January.
- A smile for Christmas! We are in the process of organizing a Christmas holiday for the Homes of Hope children.
