The biennial national staff conference of YFC USA known as “Midwinter” is officially in the books for 2016. Staff now return to their communities and ministry sites to bring back what they have received.
From Scott Sauls to Max Lucado, participants heard some powerful words providing inspiration and renewed hearts. An overarching call was made on leaders within the Youth for Christ movement. YFC USA President Dan Wolgemuth called on staff to be a part of expanding and unifying the mission of Youth for Christ to reach lost teens – to be like those in Nehemiah’s time who rebuilt the wall with wisdom, persistence and unity. Along with the call comes a strategic plan to give common measurable goals and direction.
The question remains for those to whom the challenge has gone out: Will we line up alongside our brothers and sisters and build our section of the wall?
The call is worthy, the challenges are significant, yet the price is worth paying.
